Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

REGENT AI ("we", "us") is a private, invite-only community messaging app for verified residents of the REGENT section of Prestige Finsbury Park, Bengaluru, India. This policy explains what personal data we process and why. It is written to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) and the EU GDPR.

2. Data we collect

• Phone number - used to sign you in (one-time password) and to verify you are a resident.
• Profile details - your display name and, where you provide it, your flat/tower, so neighbours can recognise you.
• Messages and shared content - the text, photos and files you send within community groups or private chats.
• Limited technical data - app/device and diagnostic information needed to deliver messages reliably and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. How we use your data

• To operate the community chat - deliver, sync and store your messages.
• To verify residency and approve members (with the resident welfare committee).
• To run real-time moderation that helps keep conversations respectful and free of harassment.
• To power the in-app community assistant that answers REGENT-related questions.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

4. AI features

Messages may be processed by automated moderation to detect harmful or abusive content before or shortly after they are shared. The community assistant answers questions using estate information and your query. These features run on managed cloud AI services within India and are used only to operate and protect the community - not to profile you.

5. Where your data is stored

Your data is hosted on Microsoft Azure data centres in India, with encryption in transit and at rest. Backups are kept within India for resilience. Access is restricted to the service's authenticated systems and the community administrators.

6. Sharing

We share data only with: (a) the cloud infrastructure and communication providers that run the app on our behalf (as data processors), and (b) authorities where required by law. We never share your messages or contact details with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

7. Retention

We keep your account and message data for as long as you are an active member. If you leave or ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal or security obligations.

8. Your rights

You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond as required by applicable law (DPDP / GDPR).

9. Children

REGENT AI is intended for resident adults. Accounts for minors, where permitted, are created and managed under a parent/guardian who is a verified resident.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-app or on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised.
